I'm heading down to Santa Barbara for UCSB orientation soon. I'm not taking my parents to orientation, but they are driving down with me, and they want something to do (they've already been here a few times and went to all the major tourist attractions). I've seen some nice panoramic shots of the city taken apparently from some hiking trails or somewhere up the mountains. So where could my parents hike up to or find a trail that gives a nice panoramic view of Santa Barbara and the coastline?

I suggest Rattlesnake Canyon. Good view, moderate hike, not too long.
